Happy Again

When I am painting a new piece of art work, I don't normally have the finished piece in my head unless I know its a specific piece of art work like the tiger I painted for my partners mum.
Which is the painting that has surprised myself the most with, and the best piece of artwork I have done in my entire life in my opinion.

I usually just go with the flow when it comes to painting, sometimes I will have a general idea of what I want to do with the piece and half way through have some amazing inspiration that changes the whole painting completely and where I was going with it. I find this a brilliant way to do art as I am exploring my creativity and not caring about the outcome. Don't be scared of failure otherwise you will fail and in art... that can make a piece look pretty damn ew. (In my opinion)

Though I am new to this, I hope to learn a lot within 2015 and I hope you join me on my colourful journey.

Today I would like to share with you a painting called "Happy Again" and though I have been through emotional turmoil this was not exactly what it is about, I do believe that being in happier time it may have bought on the inspiration for this piece.

So this piece is called "Happy Again" Inspired by singing in the rain. I absolutely loved painting this piece. Yes it was messy, and yes I got messy.

Art isn't really art if you can't be a child about it. do you agree?

This piece of art will be a part of the Young Artists Festival (YAF) and will be on sale for £50 along will small postcard prints of this piece being sold at £2 each.

I love how the colours go into each other with out blending and how the grey makes the other colours stand out.

This was a really simple piece and yet it took a lot of time because I have no idea how to paint anything that resembles water and yet I don't think I did a bad job. I am really pleased about this piece and I hope I have a lot more pieces to come that I am really proud of.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Come back soon!

Tori (Victoria)

Welcome to my life.

I suppose I should introduce myself, yadadadadah.
I am Victoria (No! Really?) and I am an artist (Never would've guessed). Though I may not look it I am 21 years old going on 6 and love every moment of it. Enough with the profile, lets get to the art.

I am always trying to look at life differently, seeing in the world; art.
I am going to be truthful here right now, I haven't the foggiest of what I am doing with this blog, or art for that matter. I just hope you enjoy reading and seeing anything about my art.
